So legend has it Yukimura had a ninja sidekick. Nothing is confirmed or official according to history so this is what came of the character. In both games the ninja sidekick is fiercely loyal to Yukimura, except for Kunoichi's normal ending in the first game...which even though it was a "bad end" in view of the game, it was seriously....just badly done. Neither name is very original, Kunoichi standing for Female Ninja, and Sasuke and Sarutobi being very common among other ninja of media.

Right - as designed for Sengoku Basara 3 (not playable)
Sorry if either image is pixelated or disproportionate, I had to resize on a crappy program

So this is fun Sasuke the legendary ninja that may or may not of existed and Kunoichi a female ninja that represents the Sanada Ten Braves which was the group Sasuke would be apart of also may or may not have existed. Despite Sasuke being a legend I cannot fault koei for not using him seeing as Hanzo really fit the bill for the "traditional ninja" archtype. I find it pretty interesting that both are rather laid back.
Overall I find Sasuke more appealing in terms of design, personality and the fact he has an actual name helps
